New Scale, New Outlook

I got my new scale today, the Tanita HD-351 Digital Scale, and you would have thought I had landed on the moon. It is good though, it keeps the previous weight memory and it has a 440lb capacity; which is totally outrageous, but necessary. I was a little apprehensive about getting on the scale, I thought I would be so disappointed in myself, but I was saved that bout of depression. Since going to the Doctor in January for my annual checkup and finding out that I weighted 346lbs, I have been determined to lose the unwanted pounds. I started eating better immediately and I could feel the weight coming off. But, we all have setbacks and lately I have been pigging out (oink, oink) so I was a little afraid I had gained back all of the weight lost. I am sure I have gained some back, but I still lost 7.8lbs, which is awesome to me.

I desparately need to start some kind of exercise routine; I am just shamefully lazy. I have access to a gym, that’s free to me and yet I procrastinate. It’s really fucking with my psyche and I don’t know what to do to get past this block. I am reading other blogs for motivation, but by the end of the work day, I am in no mood to get on a treadmill. Something is going to have to give, I just don’t know what.
